Lighting designers and manufacturers Dernier & Hamlyn (“D&H”) are looking ahead to a bright period for the business. Its new financial year starts with an impressive order book, including particularly large contracts in the hospitality and residential sectors, which will underpin the business’ growth going forward.
Major contracts over the past year include ongoing work at the flagship Connaught hotel in London, production of Ireland’s largest chandelier for Belfast City Hall and stunning new light fittings for a range of historic public buildings, including the Royal College of Music and the UK Supreme Court. Overseas projects have included Le Gray Hotel in Beirut and bespoke light fittings for residential properties in Russia and the US.
Joint Managing Director Jeremy Quantrill notes, “Like most companies we are working hard in the current tough economic climate to sustain and grow our business. It is extremely satisfying to see our efforts being rewarded both with the prestigious projects we have completed and the upcoming contracts we have secured in the UK and internationally.”
