We are delighted to announce that DavyMarkham has won the management team of the year for North East mid market companies backed by private equity at the BVCA Portfolio Company Managament Team Awards. Endless backed a turnaround and restructuring of DavyMarkham in July 2007, which led to a successful sale of the business in February 2010.
This regional award puts DavyMarkham into the nominees for consideration at the BVCA National PCM Awards, which will be held on 30 September in London. Over 1,000 British companies receive private equity and venture capital financing each year and the BVCA PCM Awards 2010 is a celebration of the successes and achievements of the management teams of these companies. Simon Walker, Chief Executive of the BVCA, said: "Private equity and venture capital-backed management teams are responsible for some of fastest growing and most innovative companies in the UK. Their efforts in these most challenging of economic times is to be applauded and they are all worthy winners."
