The Works has appointed Lloyd Hughes to the role of Operations Director.
Lloyd has been in retail since the young age of 13 when Lloyd started as a Saturday boy with Fosters (Foster menswear part of Sears). After spending a few years with Fosters Lloyd became a training manager via many store management positions. From there Lloyd went on to Woolworths before moving to Sports Division working with Tom Hunter as Area Manager for northwest London. During the JJB reverse takeover Lloyd moved to Matalan where he spent a few years. Lloyd has also spend time with the Regatta Group and ran the retail operations for the Group, in this role Lloyd delivered massive growth for 5 years running double digit sales and contribution growth, developing everything they did in relation to retail.

He brings with him significant retailing experience that in his role as Operations Director will be instrumental in the development and improvement of existing operations together with supporting additional store growth plans.”
