Endless hosted an election night cocktail party in Leeds yesterday. Attended by over 70 individuals from the local professional community the night was a huge success. Excitement built up during the evening as everyone anxiously awaited the official exit poll at 10pm. The poll showed a hung parliament and it appears now that the exit polls are correct and we are heading for the first hung parliament since 1974. The collective view from attendees appeared to be that a hung parliament wouldn’t be the disaster that certain political commentators have been predicting. Encouraging news? We shall have to wait and see.
Endless held a mock election during the night with all attendees voting. The result was significantly different to the national picture with the Tories taking a landslide victory of 78% of the vote. So what does this tell us? We will let you decide…
