Endless LLP, the buyout and turnaround fund focused on UK businesses with strong development potential, has recruited Warwick Ley as Investment Director with responsibility for its investment strategy in the North-West of England.
As a Director in Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services Team in Manchester, Warwick had responsibility for private-equity restructuring services and led several leveraged transactions involving unlocking value in portfolio assets. He recently completed a 13-month secondment with 3i.
Since moving to the UK in 1997 from Australia, where he began his career with Arthur Andersen, Warwick has led a wide range of restructuring assignments for private-equity, corporate and institutional clients. His experience across many sectors also extends to the Far East and United States.
Established in December 2005, Endless has made substantial investments in a number of UK businesses embracing several sectors. These include the PVC doors and windows manufacturer Speed Frame and the magazine publisher Encanta, formerly part of Highbury House Communications plc. The fund has identified numerous further opportunities potentially able to benefit from its financial capacity, expertise and speed to transaction. Further announcements are expected to be made shortly.
One of Warwick's first roles will be to take portfolio responsibility for Endless's most recent investment, the £13m-turnover Neville Johnson, the leading home furniture company based at Trafford Park in Manchester, specialising in home-study suites.
