Background

STP is one of the UK's largest manufacturers and distributors of timber doors and stairs.  The business currently generates annual turnover of circa £23 million and employs a workforce of over 200.

The business offers a market leading Distribution service with depots strategically located in Manchester, Leeds and Bristol.  The Distribution business primarily serves the joinery and building trades and is renowned for excellent product quality and a high standard of service.  STP is achieving significant growth in this area, which is set to continue on the back of a number of management initiatives and the business's strong market position. 

STP also manufactures from sites in New Mills (Derbyshire) and Wakefield (Yorkshire), with bespoke equipment and machinery operated by a team of experienced and dedicated craftsmen. The Manufacturing division ensures that the Distribution network is supplied with high quality products to supplement the overall product range.  It is also a significant direct supplier of joinery products to some of the UK's largest distribution companies as well as national building merchants.
