NICK LEITCH HAS THE "Y FACTOR"

Endless’ Director Nick Leitch takes the trophy home as Birmingham’s 2010 Y Factor Winner

The X Factor-style event was held at The Glee Club in Birmingham on 24 March and saw Dealmakers from the Midlands’ corporate finance community transformed into budding singers for one night, raising more than £35,000 for charity Mencap.

Nick won over the 450-strong crowd with his rendition of the Frankie Valli classic, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.

Nick beat off tough competition from other nine strong acts including Andy Bird of Barclays Corporate who came second with his performance of Robbie Williams’ Let Me Entertain You and the double act of Brendan McGeever from HBJ Gateley Wareing and Nigel Price from Begbies Traynor who sang The Beatles' Back in the USSR and finished in third place.

Endless is proud to support this Mencap event in Leeds, Manchester and now Birmingham each year, with Garry Wilson, Mathew Deering and Warwick Ley having previously put their natural shyness to one side to sing their hearts out. Any suggestions that portfolio company OK Karaoke gives them an unfair advantage are swiftly rebutted.

VOTE CLEGG!
Endless will be again represented in the line up of the Leeds Y Factor 2010, this time by Managing Director Chris Clegg.

Clegg has fuelled anticipation by refusing to reveal his song choice but he took a break from rehearsals to speak to Oxygen: “I cannot wait to get on that stage. I know there has been a lot of speculation about my performance and I hope I can deliver up to my fan’s expectations. But most importantly I hope I can raise a lot of money for a very worthwhile cause.”

The event will take place this summer at the Wardrobe in Leeds. Tickets can be purchased from Mencap on 0207 696 6006.

If you cannot be there on the night please feel free to donate through www.justgiving.com/Christopher-Clegg.
