Kevin Parkin, CEO of Sheffield based heavy engineering business Davy Markham, has been listed at No 12 in Insider Magazine's Power 100, a listing of the 100 most influential business people in Yorkshire.
Endless backed Kevin and his fellow director Duncan Hay in a Management Buy Out of one of Sheffield's best known businesses in July 2007. The business had fallen into decline and had developed a long standing habit of incurring heavy losses. Its fate seemed sealed as property developers circled the site from which it operated. With the benefit of fresh finance and support from Endless in 2007 Kevin led a rapid turnaround based on winning new orders at properly costed prices and providing a world class service to customers. This has resulted in a remarkable turnaround financially, a restoration of employment and the recruitment of apprentices for the business for the first time in many years.
Furthermore twelve businesses now operate from the Davy Industrial Park which was set up at the time of the MBO to make better use of the industrial space on Davy's site.
