Simon has over 10 years of experience in professional practice, restructuring and private equity having joined the investment team at Endless in 2007. Having originally joined the Birmingham office of Endless, Simon is now helping to build the Endless presence in London. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Simon has a wide range of experience in restructuring across many different sectors.
Recent experience and highlights include:
Transactional work on the completion of the acquisition of The Works Stores Limited, a discount book retailer with 260 stores in the UK and a turnover of £90 million.
Portfolio responsibility for the investment in The Works including intensive post acquisition restructuring work at the company. Simon has worked closely with the new management team who have delivered an impressive turnaround of this retail business.
Part of the delivery team in the acquisition of Crown Paints Limited. In particular, Simon worked on the transitional services agreement and separation project of this £180 million turnover business that was part of the Akzo Nobel Group.
Alongside Del Huse, Simon is responsible for new deal sourcing and marketing in London/South East as well as deal assessment and transactions.
Simon has ongoing portfolio responsibilities across The Works Stores Limited, British Bookshops and Stationers Limited and Phoenix Foods Limited as well as active involvement in new deal sourcing, assessment and transactions
