When OPI (Office Products International) recently published its premier league of the globe’s Top 100 Resellers, Endless was delighted to see two of the Vasanta Group’s biggest hitters named in that list.
Former Kingfield Heath CEO, Alan Barclay, made a return to the listing given his current role as Interim Chairman of Vasanta, having spearheaded the Group’s rapid turnaround since the acquisition by Endless back in the summer of 2009.
Despite such a relatively short time back at the helm in this temporary role, Alan has clearly made a hugely positive impression on the business, its stakeholders and the wider industry alike. The affable Scotsman was praised for restoring confidence in the VOW offering, following the well publicised financial problems of Vasanta prior to the 2009 transaction.
OPI also notes Alan's foresight in the appointment of Adrian Butler as MD of the group’s wholesale division, VOW, in January 2010. Adrian features in OPI’s ‘Top 100’ in his own right and took up the position of MD as part of the group’s strategic refocus on customer centric growth.
