Based in Godalming in Surrey, The Book People was founded in 1988 and has consistently evolved and found new and interesting routes to market to develop its great passion for bookselling and its customers.
With a turnover of £96 million, The Book People has built a reputation as one of the nation’s favorite booksellers. It offers its customers a carefully curated range of titles at fantastic prices delivering up to 82% discount of RRP.
Following the buy-out the business will continue to grow its enviable reputation in the market, promote reading for all ages and provide the best service to its customers through a variety of innovative channels. The Book People now has a thriving Online business www.thebookpeople.co.uk based out of a National Distribution Centre in Bangor.
